Piotrowice Nyskie (German ''Peterwitz'') is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Otmuchów, within Nysa County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, close to the Czech border.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Central Statistical Office (GUS) - TERYT (National Register of Territorial Land Apportionment Journal) )〕 It lies approximately south of Otmuchów, south-west of Nysa, and south-west of the regional capital Opole. Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see ''Territorial changes of Poland after World War II''). The village has a seventeenth-century former bishop's palace which is currently being restored by the author Jim Parton. 〔Jim Parton.
